Andropause

Andropause is the decrease in the level of testosterone. This process is usually gradual and is differentiated from menopause which is sudden for women. Andropause typically begins between 35-40 years of age. The symptoms of andropause are irritability, low sex drive, depression, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, erectile dysfunction and loss of muscle mass. Testosterone is primarily responsible for the development of male sexual characteristics but has shown to play a role in maintaining muscle mass, bone density, sexual function, mood and memory. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, approximately 4-5 million men have symptoms of low testosterone levels and only 5-10% of these men will seek treatment. Treatments may consist of hormone replacement therapy in the form of injections, pills or creams.

Supplementation
Essential ChiroCare recommends Testralin as a supplementation for promoting testosterone balance and maintaining male reproductive health. It is designed for men 40 and beyond with phytonutrients known to inhibit aromatase-an enzyme that converts androgen to estrogen-and promote prostate health.*
