Yoga


Yoga has its roots in India dating back over 5,000 years. Yoga is a form of breathing exercises, physical postures or poses, and mediation. It has evolved over the years and the benefits are many: flexibility, strength, improves tone, relieves stress. Our certified instructor Sara Perez has been teaching the art for 5 years. Our classes are small and tailor made for each individual.
Yoga 101
An introduction to Yoga with a soft flow of designed for full body movement, combined with breathing and guidance through meditation. One gains the knowledge of fundamentals of Yoga and Pilates to strengthen and realign the body. The last 5 to 10 minutes is focus on meditation for a relaxing end.
Hips and Hamstrings
After taking Yoga 101, you are encouraged to continue your yoga journey. These series of classes is geared towards opening the hips and stretching the hamstrings to enhance overall flexibility in the lower body.
Abs and Back
This class is designed for someone who needs a little more back care by focusing on strengthening your core and back.
Power Yoga
A free form version of Ashtanga, Power Yoga is a unique combination of dynamic breathing and strong, flowing movement which creates a high heat, high energy workout that balances and heals the body, and clarifies the mind. Recommended for students that have taken yoga before and enjoy using your body for strength training and working up a sweat.

Pilates


Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient and graceful movement. One of the best things about Pilates is that it works so well for a wide range of people. Athletes and dancers love it, as do seniors, women rebounding from pregnancy, and people who at various stages of physical rehabilitation. This class is designed for all levels utilizing the fit ball, resistant bands, and foam roller. These props provide gentle to moderate resistance in the exercises. They also give the body feedback as to where it is in space and which muscles are being used.
