Whiplash
One of the most common injuries that occur in a fender bender is whiplash. This injury happens when your head is jerked back and forth; however, it’s also one of the most treatable injuries. If you suspect that you have whiplash, these are the symptoms you should look out for:
- neck stiffness

- limited mobility
- pain in the surrounding area like the shoulders or arms
- numbness or tingling in arms, hands, or fingers
- headache
- dizziness
- ringing in the ears
- fatigue
- blurred vision
Back Injuries
- back pain

- tingling or numbness in the arms, legs, or arms

- paralysis
Shoulder Injuries
In a fender bender, while it’s more common to have whiplash or a back injury, it’s not unheard of to have a shoulder injury. Potential shoulder injuries could include torn rotator cuff, shoulder sprain or strain, dislocation, fracture, separation, or soft tissue damage.
